I was hoping you guys would ask Sarah Matthews what she thought about being a republican after the January six issue. Is she still a Republican supporter?

As far as her resigning her post over January 6 issue, as she stated. I believe what brought about the protest is what happened concerning the covering in the news and on TV that inspired the protest. I am retired so I’ve timed to watch TV and doing so I have access to all the channels covering the January 6 proceeding on TV. Leading up to the protest the coverage on TV all liberal channels that covered the procedure cut off actual showings of what was going on in Congress. When it came to the contradictions from the end, individuals making their case (supporters) all the national networks went to commentary and did not show the rest of the proceedings. That included CBS, ABC, NBC and PBS.

I was Furious of them, not covering all of the proceedings live! They want to commentary all of them. If I was in the crowd of January 6, as many of them probably was listening through the air waves outside of the proceedings, not knowing what was going on. I would’ve been in the crowd protesting.

I therefore went to my Radio to see if I could pick up any of the actual proceedings going on and I could get no stations to cover it. I went back to my TV and started to witness the start of the protest.

I firmly believe at the national news, media organizations, cause the riots by not covering all of the Senate proceedings.

My question is Sarah Matthews is were you watching the proceedings on TV or were you working at that time? Were you able to watch the proceedings on TV? If so, I would like your reply to my contentions.

Thanks for watching.

She's a longtime Republican, and remains one. She's very critical of MAGA Republicans who still refuse to stand up to Trump's false claims.

We've discussed this before on Bernie's site. That explanation makes no sense, and no one involved in January 6 gave it. They were at the Capitol that day because Trump had spent two months conning them into believing that the election had been stolen, and he directed their anger at Congress, inside the Capitol, on January 6 (which Trump falsely claimed was the last opportunity to save democracy). That's why they rioted. It wasn't because of television/radio programming, and that would have been an even weaker rationalization than the actual one.
